GEOHERITAGE & THE ARTS
The celebrated vulcanologist and “geoheritage” pioneer William Rose of Michigan Tech University discussed SMOKEPENNY LYRICHORD HEAVENBRED as part of a “Geoheritage and the Arts” panel for the May 2020 North-Central Section meeting of the Geologic Society of America; it is archived here. Geoheritage is a term that Professor Rose has applied to sites or areas of geologic features with significant scientific, educational, cultural, or aesthetic value—in this case the mines of the Keweenaw Peninsula.
