I'm thrilled to be joining Emanuela Tandello, Chiara Carpita, Maria Borio, Gian Maria Annovi, Daniela La Penna and Lucia Re this Friday, February 26, in discussion about "the irony of otherness and marginality" in Amelia Rosselli's poetry. I'll be presenting recent work on the event of performance and/as translation: “Chloris in Plural Voices: Performing Translation of a ‘Moonstriking Death.’”

Amelia Rosselli is recognized as one of the greatest poetic voices of the twentieth century. Twenty years after her death on 11 February 1996, The Italian Cultural Institute in London and the Sub-Faculty of Italian of the University of Oxford will be celebrating her life, her work and her poetic legacy, through TWO major events:
In London
On February 25th, the Italian Cultural Institute will host the event: “Con maestà e furore. Amelia Rosselli, her Poetry and her Legacy” : with Mariangela Gualtieri, and Cristina Viti, introduced by E. Tandello.

In Oxford
On the 26th February, The Sub-Faculty of Italian, in conjunction with the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages, and the Italian Cultural Institute, London, will host a Study Day and Round Table on Writing from the Centre: the Irony of Otherness and Marginality in Amelia Rosselli’s Poetry: Study Day and Round Table, to be held in Room 2, Taylorian Institution, St.Giles Oxford OX1 3NA, 14.15 – 18.15.
